hi James,
it's really fun to read your website. i've not had as good a laugh since i've
become a christian.
well, should've introduced myself first. i'm mayomi, can call me Lydia if you
want, born in the only place that was not flooded in the time of Noah, haha,
yeah, that's China, coz my father is a chinese. actually i've been wondering why
all the while God was keeping an eye on the pagans around isreal while there was
and still is such a pain on the ass just nearby. i say this is because even now
christianity has minor effect on this biggest 3rd world country. i bet it would
be a pain on my ass if i were God almighty.
well, i was once a christian, thanks to my dear bf, who's been brought up in a
christian family. i say with gratitude, that your website really get the sh*t of
brainwash off my mind by this crazy guy. this so called christian has physically
abused me don't know how many times, and i got bruises all over my arms and
thighs, yah, in the name of Jesus, and 'with his love overflowing' in his damned
black heart. and each time i, as a christian (a f@cking lot of heck as i'd put
it now), 'should forgive and ALWAYS love'. f@cking the bullsh*t, it just doesn't
make sense that someone who's so loving and forgiving and has the all gracious
God as father in heaven would beat his 'beloved' gf in to bruises and demand
forgiveness without any form or apology.
hypocrites, and he's not the only one. i've been to this church where i got
converted for months. throughout the few months, most the preachings had the one
thing in common, that is you must tithe 10% of your income to them for the glory
of God. and see what? i bet less than 1 out of 10 followed. again, hypocrites,
as i'd have to say, for the sake of my cheated money.
btw, i'm student in a engineering university. i've been scoring well
academically, not by the power of wisdom from above, but as surely as i live by
my own effort and diligence. yes, you're right that science is the ultimate
source of well being of mankind. it's the only thing that really makes a visible
difference. i'd rather listen to the boring lectures than to listen to a pastor
talking about things he asserts by his spirit (as good as nothing) and with a
bunch of weak minded ppl talking in tongues, which they themselve have to admit
they don't know what they are talking, yet hoping to 'save sinful ppl' (give me
peace, i don't believe the healing power of prayer even as much as i believe
that a cup of plain water can cure a person dying of cancer).
though i'm living in a eastern country now, i have little idea about buddha or
allah except their diet is quite healthy in the present trend, vegetarian or at
least no pork. well, thanks to the experience of being a christian and gf of a
faithful follower of god, now all religions are nothing but phobia to me.
a last word, keep your website updated please, coz it's a boon to ppl like me.
=)

cheers
mayomi
